Multifunction slow-dissolving tablets are one of the most effective and convenient ways to maintain clean, safe, and crystal-clear spa water. By using multifunction tablets as your primary sanitiser, you are continuously “trickle feeding” chlorine into the water over several days. This steady release helps maintain a stable sanitising level, reducing fluctuations and ensuring your spa remains hygienic and ready to use at all times. Many multifunction tablets also include additional benefits such as algaecide and clarifiers, helping to prevent algae growth and improve water clarity.

It’s essential that your hot tub water is always properly sanitised. Allowing chlorine levels to drop too low can lead to bacterial growth, cloudy water, and potential damage to your spa system. For optimal performance and bather comfort, chlorine levels should be maintained between 3–5 PPM (parts per million).

For best results, regularly test your water—ideally before each use—and adjust as needed. When used correctly, multifunction tablets provide a simple, low-maintenance solution to keeping your hot tub water clean, balanced, and inviting.

Test the chlorine levels in your hot tub daily and before every use to ensure the water remains safe, clean, and comfortable. Maintaining consistent sanitiser levels is key to preventing bacteria growth and keeping your spa in optimal condition.

Your floating dispenser should be checked at least every 3 days to ensure there are still tablets present and dissolving correctly. It’s important to top up the dispenser before the tablets are fully dissolved, so your chlorine levels never drop too low.

In most cases, multifunction tablets will slowly erode and dissolve over 5–7 days, although this can vary depending on factors such as water temperature, usage, and water flow. Warmer water and increased circulation will cause tablets to dissolve more quickly, so more frequent checks may be required.

By staying on top of testing and regularly maintaining your dispenser, you’ll ensure your hot tub water remains consistently sanitised, clear, and ready to enjoy at any time.

How to Use Chlorine Tablets 

• Wearing gloves, fill your floating tablet dispenser with the required amount of chlorine tablets. 
• Open the flow regulator on your flating dispenser to maximum and allow the chlorine level to rise between 3 - 5 PPM. Test your hot tub water daily, and adjust the floating dispenser regulator according to your test readings. 
• Remove the floating dispenser when the hot tub is in use and place it safely in a bucket.
