The HUUM Hive Flow is a premium high-efficiency wood-burning sauna stove, expertly engineered to deliver powerful, consistent heat while maintaining exceptional environmental performance. Combining modern Scandinavian design with advanced combustion technology, the Hive Flow has been developed to maximize heat output while significantly reducing wasted energy, making it one of the most efficient wood-fired sauna heaters available today.

Its innovative internal airflow system is designed to direct approximately 75% of the heat generated by the burning firewood directly into the sauna room, rather than allowing it to escape through the chimney. This intelligent heat distribution not only creates a more comfortable and evenly heated sauna experience but also improves fuel economy, allowing users to enjoy up to four full sauna sessions using the same amount of firewood that would typically provide only three sessions in a conventional stove. The result is lower wood consumption, reduced emissions, and a more sustainable sauna experience without compromising on performance.

Built for both professional and residential sauna environments, the HUUM Hive Flow is constructed using heavy-duty steel with a robust 5 mm thick top plate and durable 3 mm steel side panels. This solid construction ensures excellent longevity, structural stability, and highly efficient heat retention, while also helping to prevent localized overheating and temperature fluctuations within the sauna cabin. The carefully engineered design promotes a softer, more balanced heat that enhances comfort during longer sauna sessions.

The stove weighs 67 kg, or 73 kg for the LS model, and is designed to hold up to 150 kg of sauna stones internally, with an additional external stone cage capacity of approximately 35–40 kg. This substantial stone capacity allows the Hive Flow to produce rich, smooth, long-lasting steam and maintain stable temperatures throughout the sauna session. The large volume of stones also creates a more authentic traditional sauna atmosphere, delivering gentle yet powerful heat that sauna enthusiasts appreciate.

With its striking modern appearance, exceptional fuel efficiency, heavy-duty construction, and impressive stone capacity, the HUUM Hive Flow is an outstanding choice for anyone seeking a high-performance wood-burning sauna stove that combines contemporary aesthetics with traditional sauna bathing excellence

Sauna FAQs

Running costs depend on the type of sauna:

  • Infrared sauna: typically £0.30 – £0.80 per session

  • Traditional sauna: typically £1 – £3 per session

Infrared is more energy efficient, while traditional saunas use more power due to higher heat levels.

The main difference is how they heat:

  • Infrared saunas heat your body directly at lower temperatures (around 40–60°C)

  • Traditional saunas heat the air to higher temperatures (70–100°C), often with steam

👉 Infrared = gentler, longer sessions

👉 Traditional = hotter, more intense experience

Both are great — it depends on preference:

  • Infrared is ideal for ease, efficiency, and everyday use

  • Traditional is better if you want a more authentic, high-heat sauna experience

Infrared: around 10–20 minutes

Traditional: around 30–45 minutes

  • Most infrared saunas run on a standard 13amp plug

  • Traditional saunas usually require a higher power supply (often 32amp)

Always check the specific model or ask us if unsure.
